AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD
P&ID Updates
Issues fixed with this Service Pack:
Customer Reported (CER) Defects
- If the program shuts down unexpectedly, you can report the error to Autodesk.
We have addressed numerous errors reported by you with this service pack. If you reported an error, Thank You!
P&ID Drawings
- Substituting a reducer after reversing the line flow could cause the reducer to incorrectly place into the line.
- In Project Setup P&ID Class definitions, pipeline segments could not be set to use the current (Use Current) layer or color.
- Leader lines were not always included with automatically placed annotations.
- Including an Autogenerate Expression in a tag would unnecessarily prompt for a file (PnIDProject.xml).
- Segment Breaker annotations would not always place in the correct location. When placing the symbol, additional attachment points were not available (pressing the space bar).
- The Assign Tag dialog box allowed Read-only properties to be set.
- The Drawing Checker Review dialog box would sometimes display unnecessarily after reviewing changes in the prior session.
- Cap symbols placed on a line did not always orient correctly.
- P&ID substitution palette images were too small (16x16). To update existing projects to use larger (32x32) images, close the project and delete SubstitutionPalettes.xml in the project folder.
- KKS tagging could cause the line number to be set unexpectedly when using off-page connectors.
Vault Projects
- If plantvaultshareallowed
is set true, you can now specify a non-local drive for the workspace folder when creating or opening a vault project the first time. The local workspace is restricted to a local drive by default. You may experience performance loss because local caching is not enabled if you specify a network folder.
Fixes that apply to AutoCAD Plant 3D only:
3D Model
- If piping is modified outside of the project (offline edit), adding it back to the project could result in more than one line group.
- If a user coordinate system (UCS) is in use, routing pipe would set the world coordinate system (WCS).
- Blocks that did not have a uniform scale would not display in orthographic drawings.
Isometric Drawings
- Pipe slope would not always annotate correctly in isometric drawings.
- Piping that included a tee with clamped joints would sometimes fail to create an isometric drawing.
- If line properties (for example: service) are included in the isometric drawing name and the sheet splits, the property is not always included in the isometric drawing names.
- If the AdskIsoImperial dimension style is modified to include alternate dimensions, metric units would not always be correct in the isometric drawing.
- Oval enclosures with Expand Enclosure for isometric Bill of Material annotations would not work.
- If you add the Bolt Set Length property to the isometric Bill of Material table in a metric project, 0MM would display.
Plant SDK
- The PnPDatabase ColumnUpdated event would not always fire.
