This readme contains information regarding the installation and use of the security fix for Autodesk® 3ds Max® 2017 (including any 3ds Max® 2017 Service pack or Update 1) software. It is recommended that you read this entire document before installing the software. For reference, you should save this document to your hard drive.

3ds Max® 2017 must be installed prior to installing the update.
All Windows® 10 updates must be current prior to installing this security fix and the ucrtbase.dll located in %WINDIR%\System32\ must be version 10.0.10586.0 or higher.
1. Download the appropriate file for your product from your Autodesk® subscription page or from the Autodesk Download Manager. See Versions of the Update.
2. If downloaded from your Autodesk® Account subscription page, double-click the file.
3. Follow the installation prompts in the installer.
1. In Search Windows®, type: View Installed updates and click it.
2. Select: Autodesk® 3ds Max® 2017.1.1 Security Fix
3. Click Uninstall.
1. Open
Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > View Installed Updates.
2. Select: Autodesk® 3ds Max® 2017.1.1 Security Fix
3. Click
Uninstall.
This fixes known security issues in 3ds Max® 2017
