In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, this Service Pack 1 for Autodesk^® Alias^™ 2017 fixes or addresses a variety of issues.

User Interface

• The title bar of the General Preferences window on Mac OS cannot be found. (399663)
• Alias windows may go into an unusable state when Auto Hide is used. (400769)
• In the Layers menu, Random Colors should not be available when Layers are toggled off. (401006)

Modeling

• Surface Fillet fails to create a fillet on multiple surfaces. (ALS-1320)
• Canvas manipulators do not display when resizing the canvas. (401720)
• The visibility behavior is incorrect in the layer folder. (ALS-1338)
• Multi-Surface Draft fails the required draft angle when chain select is used. (ALS-1333)
• The Transform manipulator doesn't update when you reset the location of the pivot. (ALS-1354)
• The Radius locator value is different than what it is in the Information Window. (401068)
• Display Layout affects the Move functionality of arrow keys. (401935)
• The Symmetric Modeling tool selects all surfaces in a group. (392621)
• Surface Fillet fails to generate surfaces when Edge Align is selected. (402027)
• Offset options do not appear when using Query Edit. (401232)
• Shift-Alt right-clicking a locked POI causes the mouse to behave unexpectedly. (401890)
• Clicking the Undo All button in the Panel Gap control window causes Alias to crash. (ALS-1425)
• Alias may crash when trimming revolved surfaces. (407952)

Shading

• Changing the vector direction of the Isoangle Diagnostic Shader does not affect all surfaces. (401995)
• Dropping layers on a color swatch prevents selection of other layers. (401907)
• Variants lose group assignments when variant groups are renamed. (401821)
• Alias crashes when using a Diagnostic Shader and changing the Categories. (ALS-1349)

Data Transfer

• Data is missing from imported digitized IGES scan line files. (401432)
• Geometry assigned to an invisible layer cannot be exported as a CATPart. (ALS-1328)
• STEP Import: Layer assignments are lost during round trip. (401619)
• Exporting Alias to NX adds more spans. (ATF-2126)
• Catia output-feature curves are not converted in Alias 2017. (ATF-2197)
• Some Catia V5 files fail to import. (ATF-3163, ATF-2738)
• Performance is slower in Alias 2017 when importing NX, IGES, and Catia V5 files. (ATF-2235, ATF-2236, ATF-2211)

• On Mac OS, Maya 2016 cannot launch when it is installed on its own from Alias AutoStudio Suite. (401918)
• In some cases, Alias may crash when loading specific preferences and workspaces. (401931)
• Alias 2015 wire files saved with symmetry are not recognized by Alias 2016. (400830)

• Undo extend on a trimmed surface works on some edges only. (ALS-1623)
• Profile Tool: Alias crashes when you snap the end range to a specific point on a Profile surface. (ALS-1332)
• EDF export from Alias changes non-periodic Bezier COS to periodic, joined NURBS COS. (401271)
• Using the Multi-Surface Draft tool with the Bezier Surfaces option selected creates many surfaces. (ALS-1611)
• Normals are flipped on Alias geometries in a symmetry layer when the wire file is opened in VRED. (ALS-1348)
