Contents
This Hot Fix can be applied to Autodesk Advance Steel® 2018
running on all supported operating systems and languages.
As a result of detailed
information from customers, a number of problems were identified and fixed.
Updates have been made in the following commands and features:
o Manual
dimension points on grid intersection now work as expected on limited xOy viewports, such as cameras or plan and elevation views.
o Fixed
an issue where manual dimensions received unwanted hidden grid line points
(points outside the camera or other limited viewports) during update. This
appeared in situations where the dimension chain was created on geometry points
along visible grid lines.
o Removing
and adding certain geometry points to existing automatic dimension chains on
the drawing will no longer trigger the creation of zero-dimensions during
update, with multiple points along different Z-elevations on the same spot
providing points to the dimension chain.
o Fixed
an issue with manual dimension chains that moved during update, after using the
Insert point command to add points.
o Fixed
the dimension values for clipped oblique grid lines. The manual dimensions that
use grid intersections on general arrangement views, showing oblique grid
lines, clipped along the X or Y directions, will provide an accurate dimension
value and a correct dimension point - which will no longer shift during update
to follow the unclipped version of the sheet.
o Automatically
created grid dimension points will no longer reappear during drawing update,
after being deleted or moved.
o Fixed
an issue where grid axes that were too close to one another would give an
incorrect grid reference label information. The grid reference token now shows
the correct grid intersection in cases where the distance between individual
grids is too small. The grids are now sorted along the dimension line
direction, allowing for any grid intersection to be correctly determined,
including cases where grid patterns intersect single lines.
o Fixed
an issue regarding labels arranged according to compass that were moving on
update even if they were placed on the correct side of the beam.
o Fixed
an issue with labels that were incorrectly combined after successive drawing
updates.
o You
can now change the linetype settings in the
Management Tools > Defaults category.
o Fixed
an issue with the separator element for the TXT format Export from External
BOM.
o Fixed
an issue where polybeams could not be created using a
closed polyline as a reference.
o Fixed
an issue that lead to program crashes when opening models containing a large amount
of invalid weld preparation features.
o Fixed
an issue that caused materials from groups other than steel to not be displayed
in the Common properties tab of the Search and mark objects dialog, when using
the search filter command in the Advance Steel Tool Palette.
o The
images in the Management Tools > Bolts category are now properly displayed.
o Model
objects created with more than 10 model role filtering definitions are now
supported by the Advance Steel Migrate Content tool when migrating detailing databases
from previous versions.
o Fixed
an issue that prevented third party applications running on top of AutoCAD to
automatically load their CUIx files during startup.
o Custom
connection special parts defined in Imperial System units are now inserted at
the correct scale in the model.
o Fixed
a crash that occurred when opening the Library tab of the Front Plate Splice
joint on the German installation.
o Fixed
a problem where the DXF settings were lost when closing the NC settings dialog.
o
Fixed an issue where special parts had
to be inserted twice for the scale to match, when the template units differed
from the insert unit scale.
