• Placing an Inventor file (.ipt, .iam) and files from other CAD formats (except for Fusion 360 (.fusiondesign) files) from the Fusion drive into a local Inventor file can cause unresolved issues with referencing. To avoid these issues, only place a Fusion 360 (.fusiondesign) file type from the Fusion drive into a local Inventor file.

Installation

• If Inventor was installed from a network location, the installation of 2018.2 Update may run up to twice as slow as expected. This is due to additional security checking by Microsoft. For more information, please see Installation might require several hours to complete. You can opt out of the additional Microsoft security checking by running the 2018.2 Update installer from the Windows command line with the optional argument OPTOUT_KB2918614=1.
• After installing 2018.2 Update, Autodesk Guided Tutorial Plugin will be updated from RTM version(4.40.0) to new version(4.60.0), after uninstalling 2018.2 Update, Guided Tutorial Plugin cannot roll back to RTM version. If you want to roll back to RTM version, uninstall Guided Tutorial Plugin from Control Panel -> Settings menu -> Programs-> Program and Features, then install it again from original source media ...x64\LWS\AutodeskGuidedTutorialPlugin.msi.
• A Warning 1946 dialog may be seen during installation. This is a benign Microsoft warning and can be safely ignored. Click OK to dismiss the warning.
• Local Help will be removed after uninstalling Inventor 2018.2 if you installed Local Help before. You can download Inventor 2018 local help and extract it again.
