This readme contains the latest information regarding the installation and use of this Update. It is strongly recommended that you read this entire document before you apply the Update to your licensed copy of the product.

Who Should Install This Update?

Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2019.1 Update is recommended for all users. It updates the Design Codes, enhances reliability, and corrects issues that you may encounter while using the product. This Update may be applied to any licensed copy of Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2019 software installed as a stand-alone product, or as part of a suite on a 64-bit OS.

Installation Instructions

Apply This Update to a Standalone Installation

Follow these instructions to install this Update on a single computer.

  1. Download this Update and save it to any folder.
  2. If required, insert the product media (for example, the Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2019 installation disc).
  3. Find the folder where you saved the Update and double-click the MSP file.

Apply This Update Through a Local Network

Follow these instructions to install this Update on multiple computers using your local network.

  1. Download this Update and save it to any shared folder on your local network.
  2. Find the shared folder where you saved the Update, and double-click the MSP file.

Note: Installation through your local network using the CAD Manager Control Utility is not supported for this Update.

Apply This Update to a Network Administrative Image (Deployment)

The following distribution method applies only to administrative images created with the Deployment wizard.

  1. Navigate to the folder where the deployment is saved.
  2. Open the Tools folder under the Deployment folder, and launch the “Create & modify a deployment” setup.
  3. Follow the Install Deployment wizard with default settings, and click Create. Then click the Add Updates button.
  4. In the Autodesk AppModeDeployment Updates dialog box, click UPDATES, and then the Add button to the Update that you want to add. Make sure the Status has changed to “Included” and the Add button becomes Remove. Then Close the dialog box.

Note: When the Update is included in a deployment, the deployment will install the Update.

Uninstall this Update

Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 10

  1. From the Start menu (Windows), click Control Panel.
  2. Click Programs and Features.
  3. In the Programs and Features window, in the left pane, click View Installed Updates.
  4. Find the appropriate Update in the list of updates. Click Uninstall.

Primary Issues Resolved by Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2019.1 Update

The following issues have been fixed in this Update:

General

  1. Fixed a crash after installing AutoCAD 2019 or its vertical products (e.g. Advance Steel) on versions older than Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2019.

Model Definition

  1. Fixed incorrect display of a model when using section planes. It resulted in displaying nodes in the model view instead of turning them off.

Analysis and Results

  1. Fixed several solver issues related to Harmonic analysis in the frequency domain (FRF) and Footfall analysis.
  2. Footfall analysis SCI P354: Updated the code to the revised edition of February 2009.

Steel Connections Design

  1. Fixed over 10 issues related to Steel Connection Design in a number of steel codes.
  2. Fixed Column Base connection - Eurocode 3 (ENV 1993-1-1:1992 and EN 1993-1-8:2005/AC:2009): Fixed issues with incorrect verification of concrete cone failure for groups of anchor bolts.

Steel and Timber Members Design

  1. Fixed over 10 issues related to Steel Design in a number of steel codes.
  2. Fixed a crash while using the Print Preview option for Detailed Analysis.

RC Members Design

  1. Fixed approx. 20 issues related to Reinforced Concrete Design in a number of RC codes.
  2. RC Beams and Columns - ACI 318-11: Fixed major issues with incorrect design of reinforcement because of incorrect calculations of strains.

Known Issues and Workarounds

If you install Revit 2019 after installing Robot Structural Analysis 2019.1 Update, some of the changes included in this Update will be overwritten.

This has an impact on the following items:

Unistall Robot Structural Analysis 2019.1 Update and install it again.

To unistall this Update, do the following:

  1. From the Start menu (Windows), click Control Panel.
  2. Click Programs and Features.
  3. In the Programs and Features window, in the left pane, click View Installed Updates.
  4. Find Robot Structural Analysis 2019.1 Update in the list of updates. Click Uninstall.
