Autodesk TruFiber 2019

As part of its ongoing commitment to high-quality products and services, Autodesk has released Autodesk TruFiber 2019. This Readme contains important information about new features and known issues in this release.

TruFiber

Process Table: Support for editing rollers that are in use.
Edit Laying Point:
- Tilt angle will be kept even if Update Collisions fails.
- More accurate results for Show Collisions.

TruPlan

File Import:
- Support for reading manufacturing boundary (Ext) from FiberSim XML.
- Support for comma separators for CATIA Composites XML.
Tessellation:
- Support for editing a tessellated surface.
- Mesh conversion is no longer necessary with tessellation editing and has been removed from the user interface.
Apply: Click Apply to view results before closing a dialog box. Supported for:
- Projections
- Document Settings

Flat pattern editing:
- Right-click a flat pattern and select Edit Flat Pattern to make changes to it in the Inventor Sketch environment.
- Right-click a ply and select Add Flat Pattern to manually create a flat pattern that is not associated with a strategy.
Sub-ply:
- Add a strategy to a sub-ply.
- Duplicate, copy, and paste sub-plies.
- Include sub-plies in laser projection data and nesting data.
Projection: Support for batch projections.
Strategy Table: Support for selecting or changing seed points and curves.
Laser Projection Data: A warning will be shown if a preview might take a long time.
Plane: You can now use triads (axis controls) to create a plane.

TruFiber

If you delete a referenced part from an assembly file, undo the delete, then delete the fiber placement operation that uses the part, TruFiber will crash.
Triple-clicking while in Link Mode in the Edit Courses dialog box can cause a crash .
Cannot get the information that some collisions are impossible to avoid at certain points.
In Document Settings, the Weight setting does not work.

TruPlan

Context menu to batch add strategies on a subdivision node is not supported.
When you edit a flat pattern in the Inventor Sketch environment, and your edited pattern is invalid (open, or containing self-intersections), it will not be accepted back into the TruPlan environment when you exit the Sketch environment. This is as designed, except you will not receive a warning message before being returned to the TruPlan environment, and your flat pattern edit will appear to be lost. A workaround for this is to click Undo, which will restore the edited flat pattern, possibly containing invalid contours, to the Model browser. You can once more use the Sketch environment to correct the flat pattern. Once you have successfully done this and exited the Sketch environment, your edited flat pattern will be present in your TruPlan project, and the sketch will be removed from the model browser, as expected.
Adding a strategy or an analysis may fail or cause a crash when working on a sub-ply.
Laser Projection Data preview: There might be bad results at corners when both point refinement options are checked.
Rosette values may change unexpectedly when switching focus between axes in some cases. Workaround: Use the mouse to change focus instead of the keyboard.

General

User interface reverts to an older Windows style.
Browser node status icon might disappear when selected.
The Document Settings dialog content widget moves when switching tabs.
