Autodesk TruComposites - Standard 2019

This is the first release of TruComposites - Standard. It comprises the previous products TruLaser and TruPlan. This Readme contains important information about new features and known issues in this release.

Ply Subdivision:
- Support for creating subdivisions of a ply.
- Sub-plies are calculated based on assigned splice curves.
- "Convert to Manual" for Subdivisions so that ply boundaries become editable.
Material Library: Modernized composites material library dialog box, aligned with Autodesk Nesting Utility. Removed material node from the browser.
- Manufacturing Configurations: Most laser projection and nesting data settings have been moved to the new Configuration dialog box. A Configuration command to create new Manufacturing Configurations was added to the ribbon.
- Laser Projection and Nesting Data Output:
  - Support for previewing selected plies or sub-plies only.
  - Configuration parameters are displayed as read-only; these must be edited in the configuration dialog box.
  - Switch configuration as needed; the used configuration will be set as active after export.
Nesting Utility Connectivity: (For Autodesk Product Design and Manufacturing Collection subscribers)
- "Create Nest" from a composites model to translate flat patterns into Nesting Utility, where you can generate optimized nesting patterns of your 2D shapes for cutting.

Opening CATPart data with Thickness Update enabled will cause a crash if there are multiple layups using one workpiece. Workaround: Do not enable Thickness Update at the Import Composites step. Instead, later execute "Include Thickness Update" using the context menu of each ply.
The "Surface Offset" value is not an exact offset of the material thickness.
Pressing Enter when renaming can cause a crash.
Workpiece display masks the rosette check display.
Analysis column does not show unless switching back from Default view in the Strategy Table.
Duplication leads to duplicate names and possible confusion in the Composites Material Library command.

Strategy will change though sub-ply seems not to change in some cases. Workaround: Drag the strategy and drop it back to the previous sub-ply.
Non-English characters do not work in Laser Projection or Nesting Data Output.
Material thickness is always specified as cured in the laser projection export report.
Mesh exceeds the ply boundary too much in some cases.
Undo Create Curve does not delete the Inventor sketch.
Changing packaging sizes will eliminate manual edits to flat patterns in strategies.
When you edit a flat pattern in the Inventor Sketch environment, and your edited pattern is invalid (open, or containing self-intersections), it will not be accepted back into the TruPlan environment when you exit the Sketch environment. This is as designed, except you will not receive a warning message before being returned to the TruPlan environment, and your flat pattern edit will appear to be lost. A workaround for this is to click Undo, which will restore the edited flat pattern, possibly containing invalid contours, to the Model browser. You can once more use the Sketch environment to correct the flat pattern. Once you have successfully done this and exited the Sketch environment, your edited flat pattern will be present in your TruPlan project, and the sketch will be removed from the model browser, as expected.
TruLaser tab disappears occasionally. Workaround: restart Inventor.
Inventor will crash if you have both TruComposites - Standard and Nesting Utility installed but TruComposites - Standard is not activated (30-day trial excluded). Workaround: Activate or uninstall TruComposites - Standard.
