Who Should Install This Hotfix?

The Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2023.0.1 hotfix is recommended for all users. It enhances reliability and corrects issues that you may encounter while using the product.

This hotfix may be applied to any licensed copy of Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2023 software. It is not recommended to unistall this hotfix as may affect some functionalities in the software. See Unistall notice for further information.


To download and install the hotfix, either:

·        Download and install the hotfix using your Autodesk Account.

To install the hotfix from your Autodesk Account, follow the instructions below.

1.    Make sure Robot Structural Analysis Professional is not running.

2.    Sign into your Autodesk Account.

3.    Click the Management tab, and then click Product Updates.

Note: Only the most recent hotfix displays.

4.    Position the cursor on the hotfix you want to download, and then click Download.

5.    Open the downloaded RobotStructuralAnalysisProfessional2023_HotFix1.exe file.

·        Download and install this hotfix directly from your product through the Autodesk Desktop App.

The Autodesk Desktop App is installed by default with Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2023.

Update from the Autodesk Desktop App:

1.    When the hotfix becomes available, the Autodesk Desktop App displays a notification on the system tray.

Note: You can also check for updates manually:

·        On the system tray, right-click the Autodesk Desktop App icon.

·        On the shortcut menu, click Check for new updates.

2.    Launch the Autodesk Desktop App and open the Updates tab, a notification displays the relevant details about this hotfix.

3.    Click Update to download and install the hotfix on your computer.

Apply This Hotfix to a Standalone Installation

Follow these instructions to install this hotfix on a single computer.

1.    Download this hotfix and save it to any folder.

2.    Find the folder where you saved the hotfix and double-click the EXE file.

Apply This Hotfix Using a Local Network

Follow these instructions to install this hotfix on multiple computers using your local network.

1.    Download this hotfix and save it to any shared folder on your local network.

2.    Find the shared folder where you saved the hotfix and double-click the EXE file.

You can also build your deployment using your Autodesk Account at Custom Install tab.

Uninstall this Hotfix

Windows 11

1.    From the Start menu (Windows), click Settings.

2.    Click Apps.

3.    In the Apps widow, in Related Settings in the upper right corner, click Programs and Features.

4.    In the Programs and Features window, in the left pane, click View Installed Updates.

5.    Find the appropriate hotfix in the list of updates and click Uninstall.

Primary Issues Resolved by This Hotfix

The following defects were fixed by this hotfix:

General Issues

·        Fixed an issue causing software instability in display visibility dialog.

·        Fixed an issue causing incorrect internal forces for single beams when selecting a load envelope in Load Take Down method.

·        Corrected shear modulus G value for user defined timber when saved to American Database.

Loads and Analysis

·        Fixed an issue causing misplaced loads displaying when displayed a member in a separate window.

·        Fixed an issue with linear loads on edges which are not applied correctly.

·        Corrected linear load double application to a panel with calculation model containing finite element mesh and load distribution by simplified method.

Steel Design

·        Corrected instabilities that might have happened in steel design module.

·        Corrected the selection of automatic combination component for steel connection verification in case of number of components exceeding 32 000.
