With the Civil 3D^® CPIXML Export Plug-in, a Civil 3D Model can be exported to the CPIXML file format to be used by external applications for 4D BIM, 5D BIM and coordination processes. In addition to the model hierarchy, the geometries elements and the predefined and user defined property sets can be exported.

Note: The Export CPIXML Command is located in the Civil 3D Toolbox under Subscription Extension Manager. There is no longer a ribbon entry for the command.

As you prepare to install this extension, keep the following in mind:

Back Up Custom Files

It is recommended that you back up all custom CUIX, MNR, and MNL files before you apply this extension.

Administrative Privileges

During installation or uninstallation, you may be prompted for the original installation media or a network image. In order to apply this extension, you must have privileges to install and uninstall products.

Close the Application

It is required that you close Autodesk^® Civil 3D^® 2026 before proceeding with the installation of this extension.

Reboot

After you install, it is recommended to reboot your system even if not prompted.

About Your Product

After you install, product information is displayed in the About dialog box.

Follow these instructions to install this extension on a single computer.

1. Download the extension and save it to any folder.
2. Close all running Autodesk applications.
3. Find the folder where you saved the extension and double-click the executable (.exe) file.

2. Close all running Autodesk applications.
3. Find the shared folder where you saved the extension, and double-click the executable (.exe) file.

This extension can be uninstalled through the Program and Features section of the Microsoft^® Windows^® Control Panel.

Follow these instructions to uninstall this extension on a single computer.

1. In the Windows "Apps and Features" menu, click on the Autodesk CPIXML Export Plug-in 2026 or and choose the Uninstall option.
2. In the Autodesk CPIXML Exporter 2026 maintenance dialog box click Yes to confirm that you want to uninstall the extension.
